Phillip Collazo
Training Coordinator

Phillip began his tenure at CCDH in 2006 as one of the first Program Specialists for the All Children Together (ACT) Resource Network.  Working closely with providers, he offered the assistance necessary for them to include children with disabilities in their programs.

In July, 2007, Phillip was promoted to Training Coordinator.  As such, his responsibilities include developing a training plan and training calendar; developing, adapting, and delivering curricula; and evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.

Upon graduating from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Phillip moved to Miami in 1999.  Before joining CCDH, he spent six years working in private schools teaching children of all abilities.  His work is influenced by his love of the arts and his commitment to healthy lifestyles.  During his tenure as a teacher, Phillip developed art programs and began an inclusive yoga program.

The agencies he works with also benefit from his strong background in behavior management. Phillip is a certified KIT (Kids Included Together) trainer.  KIT is a nationally recognized best-practice inclusion curriculum focused on direct care staff in out of school programs.
